Frame rate in Cool Motion

The default frame rate is 12 frames per second (fps) and generally produces the best results for the web. If the frame rate is too fast it will blur the details of the animation and become CPU intensive which could result in the deterioration of the overall movie (a higher rate will not effect the size of your file/movie). A frame rate that is too slow will have a similar effect where it appears to stop and start.

Best flash frame rate to use and when to chose and why?

- Do you mix and match frame rates, eg, main flash movie is 25 and loaded movies are 12?

I don't think there's any point in doing this since the loaded in clips will inherit the parents fps. I could be wrong about that but it's what I've always assumed.

- Is there a guideline or rule that helps select the correct frame rate for a movie you are building?

Usually 12 is ok, Don't tap high fps values in as that will make the player struggle to maintain that rate. Going above 100 is recommended against.

- Is there a way of adjusting a movie to a newer frame rate without having to alter all the contents of the movie?

eg. you made a movie at 12 frames per second and realise that the animation works better at 25. Is there a function in CoolMotio that allows a Swf movie content to adjust itself automatically, instead of having to go inside the timeline and adjust everything manually. like a 12 frame rate movie would go quicker if played at 60 frame rate so you have to adjust it so that the timing is correct. By adjusting the fps option in the property settings panel you are adjusting it for the entire document, not just the main timeline.
