Moving car

Basic Knowledge: Tween animation: tweening (comes from "in between") is a way to create a transition between 2 different states of an item. In the following example we define "start" and "end" position of the car to make it move.

Cool Motion will create intermediate frames to create the illusion of motion. You may follow the following steps to create this animation:

Step 1. Run Cool Motion, and create a new movie file.

Step 2. Insert the background picture by choosing "File > Import", and adjust the picture until it right fit the Canvas:

Step 3. Create a new layer by pressing "Insert Layer" on the "Timeline panel". Rename this layer "Car", and first layer "Street" :

Step 4. Click the first frame of the "Car" layer, choose "File > Import" to add a car picture to the Canvas, Choose the " Transform tool". select the imported car, handles appear around the car. Click and drag a corner handle until the car is the appropriate size. Corner handles resize the selected object proportionally.

Step 5. Choose Frame 40 of "Car" layer, and right-click mouse ,choose "Insert Keyframe" :

Step 6. Repeat step5 on "Street" layer, and right-click mouse , choose "Create Tween Motion"

Step 7. Click Frame 40 of the "Car" layer: Use the Arrow key"<-" on keyboard to move the car to the left side of the Stage as shown here:

Step 8. "Create Tween Motion" between Frame1 and Frame 40 on "Car" layer:

Step 9. Add the sound. • Import sound file: Choose "File > Import > Import to Library" from the menu to import the sound file. • Create and name a new layer : pressing "Insert Layer" on the Timeline panel, the new layer appears above the "Car" layer, then rename the layer as "Horn". Add sound : Click Frame 15 on the "Horn" layer, right-click mouse and choose "Insert Keyframe" to make Frame 25 a keyframe. Move to the Library. If the Library is not already open, choose "Window > Library" from the menu, drag sound file from the Library onto the Stage. You will notice the "Properties Panel" below will be as shown here:

Step 10. Press "Ctrl+S" to save the file, and press "Ctrl+Enter", the "Test Movie" window opens and the movie will play. Finally you can choose"File > Export > Export Movie(SWF)" to export the movie as .swf file.
